Opel Dual boot XP and W 10 1903 on Laptop.
Hi there,

If you have an unused laptop sitting @ home you might find it interesting to set it up as a dual boot XP and windows 10.
Especially if you need windows XP to run an old program like TIS 2000.

I found these tutorials and after some trial & error runs it is now fully functional.
First read this post:
https://mattpilz.com/dual-boot-windows-x...ment-20596
It basically explains everything, just carefully follow the instructions.

Since I didn't want to use the MS Media download tool I found this tutorial very helpful:
https://windows10.help/blogs/entry/24-ho...b-browser/
It explains how to download Windows as an ISO file. My reason for choosing this is that I have a very, very slow internet connection and it kept loosing the connection when using MS media download tool..

Last but not least; because I downloaded W 10 1903 as an ISO I needed to install Windows 10 from a bootable USB stick. this can be a real pain but this program is absolutely the best there is:
https://rufus.ie/

It's a very light tool and it works like a charm.

I set up my old Dell E6400 as a dualboot XP/W 10 to be able to run TIS and Op-com.
The laptop had an oem windows 7 installed on it and installing W 10 was easy and W10 will be recognized by MS.
There were some issues with drivers so google installing drivers (there's a certain sequence to be followed...)
At this moment everything works except Bluetooth.
Of course you have to download XP from the web.... plenty of possibilities out there!

Hope this helps somehow.
